TECHNICAL SALES PERSON
Our client, Ireland’s leading independent importer & distributor of electrical components and supplies with a nationwide branch network, is currently looking to recruit a Technical Sales Person with strong industry experience and a technical qualification, preferably.

KEY ACTIVITIES:
Direct sales of electrical components to panel builders, electrical contractors, OEM's, wholesalers etc
- Visit key customers to maintain relationships, take new orders, following up with quality responses, arranging further client meetings, preparing quotations, negotiating sales & closing deals
- Visit lapsed customers in your territory
- Business development - developing new sales through proactive customer contact and excellent customer support
- Liaise with and support inside sales/counter/stores teams and fellow regional sales executives
- Ensure customer delivery schedules are met
- Managing the return of warranty and service exchange parts
- Delivering professional and efficient customer service at all times
- Market and competitor analysis
- Attending trade shows & representing the company at industry events
Sales Calls
- Set out and follow a plan to actively make 16-20 face to face sales calls per week and ensure each call is reported under CRM reporting system.
- Sales calls to be planned each Friday for the following week and Fridays should be used to follow up actions/quotes from the previous week.
- Sales calls should be carried out in a professional manner and where possible appointments should always be made in advance (if appropriate)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates will have proven B2B sales skills and experience
- Experience of electrical sales or very similar e.g. motor factors, engineered products
- Commitment to customer service excellence
- Strong CRM system and general IT skills
